About Us How AirFX Got Started AirFX is a product of Air Sysems Engineering, Inc. Also known as A.S.E., the company was founded in 1993 by engineer Jeff Schwindt. A.S.E. has long been a leading designer and builder of pneumatic and electric, automation equipment. Along with manufacturing complete systems, we are also a pneumatic components distributor, providing machines and parts to the automotive, medical, and industrial markets. Our extensive pneumatic application experience and understanding of the motorcycle industry's need for a more controllable air ride system led us to develop the FXA-1002 air suspension system for use on bikes utilizing the popular SoftailŽ design. The ride quality experienced is like no other on the market today. It has been said that it's like riding on a cloud.
